Sennheiser Recording Sound Academy Seminar Traveling To Seattle

One-day workshop offers overview of basic microphone skills as well as how to obtain a 'perfect studio sound'

Audio specialist Sennheiser announced that it will be offering its Recording Sound Academy Seminar next week. The one-day workshop, which targets basic studio microphone techniques and advanced recording concepts and practices, will be presented on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 in Monroe, Wash.

Modeled after Sennheiser’s highly acclaimed RF wireless and live production Sound Academy seminars, the recording seminar will be led by recording and installed sound expert Christopher Spahr. The workshop is designed to help attendees brush up on basic studio microphone skills as well as help them learn how to obtain that ‘perfect studio sound.’ All techniques will be demonstrated and practiced exclusively on Sennheiser and Neumann microphone systems in an intimate, interactive training environment.

Christopher Spahr’s 17-year career in the recording arts and installed sound industries has included live sound work for concerts, corporate functions and theater applications. He also worked in the installed sound market as an independent manufacturer’s representative and spent five years as a staff engineer at Criteria Studios in Miami, Florida, working on music, TV and film projects, including a Grammy-winning Latin jazz CD.

Registration costs $149 and includes, lunch, workshop materials and a $50 coupon toward any Sennheiser product.
