Roland Training Now Certified by InfoComm

Roland Systems Group (RSG) has announced they have been approved by InfoComm International as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) Program Renewal Unit Provider.

Roland Systems Group now offers five courses for a total of 4.5 CTS Renewal Units.

The courses are focused on a deep understanding of the V-Mixing System and its various components including digital consoles, digital snakes, personal mixing system and multi-channel recording in live applications.

Also approved is a course that provides a primer of advanced video technology concepts, ideal for attendees coming from an audio background who are wanting to breakthrough into offering video solutions.

These hands-on courses are held on a regular basis throughout the year with upcoming sessions scheduled for May and September at the Roland Training Center in Los Angeles.

This RSG Training can be applied as credit towards maintaining CTS, CTS-D and/or CTS-I designations, which require an individual to complete a certain amount of continuing education on a regular basis.

The InfoComm certified courses are part of the Roland Systems Group Training Plus program – a program of coordinated training and self-learning designed to support operators, integrators, designers and providers of professional audio and video products.

Training Plus incorporates core product knowledge and an understanding of related technologies including practical examples of application and operation.

The five courses recently approved for Renewal Units include:

• Principles of REAC and V-Mixing System Overview – This course explains the system concept behind the V-Mixing System and how Roland’s Ethernet Audio Communication (REAC) protocol technology connects multiple products to create a system that is greater than the sum of its parts.

• Advanced Digital Mixing: V-Mixer Configuration & Operation – This hands on course teaches the features, benefits and operation of the current models of V-Mixer digital audio consoles. Participants will learn how to use all of the main features of a V-Mixer, I/O configuration, effects, and advanced functions such as user level administration.

• Personal Mixing System Configuration & Operation – This hands-on course provides a detailed look into the Personal Mixing System connected to a V-Mixer or other mixing consoles. Advanced configuration and operation from sound engineer and musician perspectives are shown.

• V-Mixing System Design – Participants learn fundamental specifications of REAC, implementation in various V-Mixing System components, design and specialized applications including RS-232 control.

• Advanced Video Technology Primer – Participants learn industry video standards, common video formats, and future trends. Participants also learn important benefits of Roland Video products, competitive advantages, and unique applications for target customers.
