RØDE Microphones has announce the expansion of its Wireless GO range with the addition of Wireless GO White, Lavalier GO White, Interview GO, and MagClip GO.

Wireless GO is a compact digital wireless microphone system developed for applications such as vloggers, portable filmmakers, journalists and others. In includes a transmitter pack with an in-built omnidirectional condenser capsule. There’s also a 3.5 mm input for connecting an external microphone. The transmitter measures 44 mm x 45.3 mm x 18.5 mm.

The receiver has a dual-purpose mount designed to site securely in a camera cold shoe or clip securely onto clothing or a camera strap. Audio is sent to the receiver using RØDE’s Series III 2.4 GHz digital wireless transmission stated to have a range of up to 70 meters (about 230 feet) line of sight. There’s also a three-stage pad for tailoring the mic output to a camera or recorder and an LED screen for monitoring levels and battery life.

The new Wireless GO White offers the option of concealing the transmitter against white clothing and in lighter environments. It includes the same features as the black Wireless GO, only the color of the transmitter and receiver has changed, and the included furry windshields are white.

For those who prefer using a lavalier mic, the new Lavalier GO (sold separately) also now comes in white. The new Interview GO is an adaptor that turns the transmitter into a wireless handheld mic for applications such as reporting on camera and interviewing in the field. It has an attachment for the Wireless GO’s cold shoe clip to secure the mic in place, plus a windshield for reducing plosives and protecting the capsule from wind when recording outdoors.

The new MagClip GO is a magnetic clip that allows for added flexibility when placing the transmitter on talent. The magnet can be slipped under a piece of clothing opposite where the transmitter needs to be placed. It can also be used to place a mic discreetly on an object in a scene or on a stage to capture dialog.

“This expansion of the Wireless GO range is the product of 12 months of listening to user feedback and seeing what creators need and want,” says RØDE CEO Damien Wilson. “We are always in tune with how our products are being used and who is using them, and we constantly push ourselves to create new products that inspire and encourage creativity. Keep an eye on the Wireless GO range in the coming months, there’s more to come…”
