Richard Starr Appointed Pro Audio Product Specialist At American Music & Sound

American Music and Sound (AM&S), an Exertis | JAM business, has announced the expansion of its marketing team with the addition of Richard Starr as Pro Audio division product specialist, where he is focused on growing the presence of AM&S brands in the U.S. and assisting with the production and expansion of the Allen & Heath Mini Masterclass series and other training initiatives.

Starr has been involved in technical support and customer service at AM&S for the last six years, coming to the company with a background ranging from financial accounting to broadcast audio engineering. A graduate of Vanier College (Audio Recording Technology) and Concordia University (Psychology), he’s also earned numerous professional certifications including Cisco and AMX networking, Audinate Dante Level 3, and Allen & Heath dLive.

“We’ve seen amazing growth from American Music & Sound across the board in the last few years,” says marketing director Jeff Hawley. “The AM&S Pro Audio division, especially Allen & Heath, has clearly reached a point where the team needed to expand with the right folks helping us to achieve the next stage. Richard has the perfect combination of deep technical chops, an engineering and musical performance background, and a firm grasp of the market dynamics. I’m excited to have him join me on the marketing team.”
