At the upcoming ISE 2023 show in Barcelona (January 31-February 3), RCF has announced that it will be highlighting its recent developments in power amplification as well as passive (Compact A and Compact C series) and active (ART 9-AX series) loudspeakers, new business music and installed sound products, and more at its booth — J150 — in Hall 7.
The new XPS 16K amplifier is designed to provide high power density in installed applications that include auditoriums, theme parks, performance venues and several others. It offers four outputs each stated to deliver 4,000 watts (continuous) joined by routing options that include four analog and digital AES/EBU inputs/outputs as well as Dante networking and a set of tools for signal processing and tuning. With RDNet integration, users can choose between active powered loudspeakers or externally amplified loudspeakers.
Meanwhile, the QPS range of four-channel amplifiers includes two models: 10,000 watts (4 x 2500 at 2 ohms) and 6,000 watts (4 x 1500 at 2 ohms) continuous power. They include independent gain control, signal/clip and fault indicators, stereo XLR input and output link, stereo, parallel/bridge operation, and speakON output connectors, as well as protection against shorts and open circuits.
The IPS Series of adaptable 2U power amplifiers for install applications employ Class-H topology for two single-channel outputs, two parallel outputs or a single-channel bridge operativity in three power options: 2 x 2600 watts (IPS 5.0K), 2 x 1250 watts (IPS 2.5K), and 2 x 750 watts (IPS 1.5K) at 4 ohms. Interconnect choices are speakON connectors and binding post terminals.
RCF is also showcasing the new ART 9-AX Series of active loudspeakers that incorporate all the electro-acoustic features of the company’s ART 9 Series that are now joined by Bluetooth streaming/pairing capability, remote control, and an onboard 6-channel digital mixer with a large color touchscreen. The series is designed for small to medium live sound applications and can serve as mains, fills and stage monitors. The onboard DSP provides the mixer as well as a 5-band parametric output equalizer, built-in effects, output delay for alignment, complex routing options, an internal crossover for use with subwoofers, and wireless pairing between loudspeakers that offers operating modes: alone or connected with other loudspeakers and/or subwoofers, combining wired and wireless links.
All functions and settings are accessible from the rear panel via the capacitive 2.4-inch color touch screen with a rotary/push encoder or with RCF’s LiveRemote app that’s available for iOS and Android devices. The internal mixer can be used in two modes: Easy Mode for quick configuration or Advanced Mode for professional tuning and signal routing. LiveRemote provides control of the internal ART 9-AX engine for recalling/saving presets, setting the desired volume levels, and adjusting EQ, compressors, and effects.
Sharing the same cabinet as the ART 9 Series, the COMPACT A Series is a multi-purpose two-way full-range loudspeaker for fixed installation projects, while the COMPACT C Series comprises two-way point source speakers for near and mid-distance applications, combining solid birch plywood cabinets with neodymium transducers and a 100 x 50-degree rotatable constant directivity horn so that it can be installed either horizontally or vertically, with optional mounting accessories for walls and ceilings.
