RCF has introduced the HVL Series, comprised of several three-way, full-range arrayable loudspeaker models available in a variety of coverage patterns joined by a matching arrayable subwoofer.

Designed for long-throw installation sound applications such as stadiums, all four full-range (bi-amp) options incorporate dual 15-inch woofers, two 10-inch cone drivers, and two titanium dome compression drivers with 4-inch voice coils. All transducers utilize neodymium transducers. A custom 4 PATH-designed waveguide is designed to foster precision coverage while also delivering linear high-frequency response.

Coverage options include 90 by 30 degrees. 60 by 30 degrees, and 45 by 15 degrees. Frequency response is stated as 43 Hz to 18 kHz, with maximum SPL of 144 dB (models HVL 15-L and HVL 15-L1) and 145 dB (models HVL 15-P and HVL 15-P1). An internal passive filter provides crossover and equalization between the midranges and the compression drivers. Power handling is stated as 1,000 watts RMS (low frequency) and 900 watts RMS (mid/high frequencies). They can be driven by RCF QPS 9600 power amplifiers.

The HVL 15-S is a double 15-inch with neodymium transducers designed to extend coverage down to 33 Hz. It is stated to provide maximum SPL of 133 dB and power handling of 3,000 watts. As with the full-range models, the enclosure is trapezoidal with a coupling angle of 15 degrees.

Heavy-duty, weatherproof barrier strips provide connections. Cabinets are made of Baltic birch plywood with a waterproof, textured, polyurea coating, while the grilles are epoxy-coated steel with open-cell fibers and water repellent woven-fabric backing. Enclosures are available in both black and white.
