Professional Wireless Systems Expands To Nashville

Orlando-headquartered provider of wireless sound systems for live and broadcast events expands operations with new Nashville office.

Orlando-headquartered Professional Wireless Systems (PWS) has expanded their operations to Nashville. The announcement was made by general manager Jim Van Winkle.

“We have experienced tremendous growth and success out of our Orlando office with customers located across the country,” explains Van Winkle. “Considering the number of current customers and partners we have in the Nashville area we thought it was time to have a dedicated team in the area for product support and services.”

The Nashville office will be headed up by RF technicians Ryan Stotts and Cody Heimann. Stotts began working in professional audio in 2001 at Sound Great Enterprises in Ohio providing audio, communication and wireless equipment for the Magic of David Copperfield. In 2006 he was out with the U.S. tour of Stomp as front of house engineer. From there he worked with Spectrum Sound and Jason Aldean for five years as a monitor tech and frequency coordinator. Since 2016 he has been a NFL gameday coordinator while working independently as a frequency coordinator and RF technician for an assortment of clients in the area.

“I like to be part of a team. Working with PWS provides the resources and expertise that will drive it,” adds Stotts. “Being able to support Middle Tennessee and surrounding areas with products and technical advice is important to me. Helping build PWS-Nashville is a win for everyone.”

Heimann began his career on the tour of Barney the dinosaur which ultimately led him to Nashville. For the last eight years he has been working as a frequency coordinator for corporate and association shows with companies like Projection Presentation Technologies, VER, e-Tech and many others. He’s also worked as one of the RF coordinators on the Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull tour, music festivals and has also spent time designing RF systems for integration. Like Stotts, he has kept busy as an independent RF specialist for a variety of clients for the last couple of years. Both have worked freelance for PWS since 2016.

“People know that PWS is synonymous with quality, which is important in the industry,” says Heimann. “It’s nice to be working on a team committed to education, support and growth in the region. It’s an exciting time to be working in RF and I’m glad I’m doing it with PWS.”

“Both Ryan and Cody bring so much to the table as far as expertise and experience is concerned,” concludes Van Winkle. “Having them coordinate our effort in the region is going to work not only well for us, but for everyone that has the opportunity to work with them. I’m delighted with our new team and the direction PWS is headed.”
