Professional Wireless Systems Debuts PRZM RF Over Fiber System

New software-controlled system designed to facilitate the remote placement of wireless audio antennas beyond 200 feet.

Orlando-headquartered Professional Wireless Systems has introduced PRZM RF over fiber (RFoF) conversion system designed to facilitate the remote placement of wireless audio antennas beyond 200 feet.

“As the RF available for production purposes continues to shrink, it becomes more important than ever to be able to create remote antenna systems that can cover large areas,” explains Jimmy Van Winkle, general manager for Professional Wireless Systems. “The conversion and subsequent distribution of RF over fiber ensures that the signal is pure with no degradation of quality in order to have a seamless production.”

PRZM is ideal for live production as well as installed sound applications. Because it is controlled via software, it allows the user to easily monitor status and adjust attenuation.

“It is important that production professionals have the tools they need to get the job done,” concludes Van Winkle. “PRZM is a tool that everyone will want to have in their RF toolbox.”
