Producer/Engineer Justin deBlieck Adds TELEFUNKEN TF47 To His Toolkit

After a decade on the road as guitarist/vocalist for several rock bands, Justin “JD” deBlieck has switched to the role of full-time producer, songwriter and mix engineer, and he recently added a TELEFUNKEN Alchemy TF47 large-diaphragm microphone to the toolkit in his Syracuse, NY recording studio.

“I’ve never had a microphone work so consistently across such a wide variety of vocalists and their individual styles,” says deBlieck, who’s produced numerous Billboard top 10 singles, an RIAA Certified Gold Single, a #1 Active Rock Charting Single and more. His recent work includes Motionless In White, Fit For A King, Sevendust, Crown The Empire, SAUL, Ovtlier, VRSTY and Lorna Shore.

“Ranging from the most intimate to the harshest performances, it leaves me feeling confident that if I do my job, the TF47 will do its job,” he adds. The TF47 is a new design based on the “German” sound, drawing inspiration from the U47. It offers a deep low end and a forward midrange that helps add “depth and presence” to sources, making it particularly well suited for recording vocals, guitar amps, and drums.
