A multifunction events hall at the Agstafa Agro Industrial Complex in Agstafa City, Azerbaijan has been outfitted with a new sound reinforcement system by PROAV (also located in Azerbaijan) that utilizes Martin Audio Wavefront Precision Mini (WPM) line arrays.
PROAV managing partner Elshan Aliyev states, “When WPM first came onto the market, such was the trust we had in the Martin Audio brand name, we were happy to place an immediate order and we were the first to do so. When this latest opportunity came about we had no hesitation in specifying it again.
As Azerbaijan’s agricultural development project, Agstafa Agro Industrial Complex plays an important role in providing the nation’s food security and increasing the country’s export potential and sustainability. It has been operating in the west of Azerbaijan since 2009 and serves 15,000 hectares of land using advanced agro technologies.
The new system needed to meet strict speech intelligibility requirements for conferences as well as delivery full-range coverange and impact in support of live bands. “The reason for specifying it [WPM] in this instance was because of the unusual shape of the hall and the objectives of the sound system,” Aliyev adds. “The client trusted us, and WPM was a logical decision. They were happy to take it on our recommendation.”
PROAV first had to win a competitive tender on the project, up against another loudspeaker brand. The new main system comprises arrays of eight WPM per side, powered in 1-box resolution by Martin Audio iKON iK81 amplifiers. In addition, the facilty has also been outfitted with 12 Blackline X15 stage monitors.
Aliyev concludes that WPM meets all requirements, and Anar Orujov, managing director of the facility, agrees, “We are delighted with the versatility of the new sound system, making it perfect for any event we are likely to host.”
