Pink Noise Provides dB Technologies System For Chicago’s Festival Cubano

Chicago-based Pink Noise provides dB Technologies sound reinforcement for Festival Cubano.

Chicago-based Pink Noise provided a dB Technologies sound reinforcement system for the annual Festival Cubano this year in Chicago.

Now in its fifth year, the three-day summer festival is recognized as one of the largest in the nation providing a high quality, authentic experience that features the best of Cuba’s rich, colorful and lively culture.

This year’s lineup included Frankie Ruiz, Eddie Santiago, Falardo Jr., El Gran Combo and the African-Cuban funk band Palo. The concerts drew crowds of over 25,000.

For the event, Pink Noise provided a dB Technologies sound reinforcement system comprised of 12 DVA-T12 and 4 DVA-T8 active three-way line array cabinets, flown eight per side; plus 8 DVA-S30 dual 18-inch subwoofers. Pink Noise also used RCF NX-L24A active column cabinets coupled with DVA-S20DP active double 18-inch subwoofers for sidefills. Ten dB Technologies DVX-DM15 15-inch two-way stage monitors were utilized on the stage.

“We use the DVA system at events all over the country,” notes Pink Noise owner Oscar Villegas. “The ease of set up and operation, the capability of monitoring the system functions, and the output is tremendous.”

“The support from dB Technologies is also exceptional. When we’ve needed some additional gear for an event, they have expedited it to us to make sure everything runs smoothly.”
