Peavey Electronics has announced the introduction of the new PVs Series of powered subwoofers that are all equipped with the company’s proprietary Bass Enhancement that’s designed to boost performance.

The three models in the series, offering a vented design, include the 18-inch PVs 18, 15-inch PVs 15, and compact 12-inch PVs 12. perfect for hiding the subwoofer when needed. The onboard amplifier in each unit, with forced air cooling, is stated to deliver 1,000 watts peak power, joined by DSP-based crossover, compression, limiting, and EQ.

Built-in crossovers and outputs (two high-pass outputs and one full-range thru XLR) help allow them to be used in variety of applications. A switch enables polarity reversal to better tailor low-frequency response in select environments.

Enclosures have a heavy-duty perforated steel grill as well as steel handles and rugged locking casters with damped bearings joined by a threaded pole mount with an included pole. Interconnect is facilitated by a XLR/quarter-inch combo jack input, and there’s also a ground-lift onboard.

Pricing for PVs Series subwoofers starts at $899 U.S. MSRP.
