Peavey Brings Together DJs And Hip Hop Innovators At DJ Expo Opening Night

Peavey Electronics hosted an opening night party and booth artist appearance lineup at the 2015 DJ Expo in Atlantic City, N.J., from Aug. 10 – 13, boasting performances by some of the top DJ’s and pioneers in hip hop music.

Taking place on Tues., Aug. 11, 2015, at the Blue Velvet Theater by Scores in the Trump Taj Mahal, “The Art of The Mix” opening night party was co-sponsored by liquor brand Jägermeister, and featured performances by GrandMixer DXT, Grand Wizzard Theodore, and Def Jam Records Co-Founder DJ Jazzy Jay, with Public Enemy DJ and Peavey artist Keith Shocklee hosting the event.

“This year at DJ Expo, I brought some of my closest friends to make music in the club and spin at the Peavey booth. It was an awesome experience to share with the originators of hip hop and the younger generation of DJ’s. I like bridging the gaps,” said Shocklee.

To continue with the excitement throughout the show, the Peavey booth featured back-to-back performances by DJ’s displaying the company’s latest pro audio equipment. Performers included DJ Cutlas; DJ Spike; DJ PonFetti; DJ Polo; DJ Marley Marl; DJ Dvyne; DJ Jimmy Goods; Keith Shocklee and DJ Journey; Mark Anthony; and DJ Selectra.

“It’s great that we are recognized as a company that can serve these fantastic DJ’s with gear they depend on night after night. Peavey is far beyond just rock ‘n’ roll,” said Peavey COO, Courtland Gray.

“I have been a DJ since 1975 and have been using Peavey products for a very long time. To see how far Peavey has come, bringing their products to the next level, and seeing DJ’s from around the world coming together to perform at their booth and party, is a testament to the supreme quality their products have to offer,” said DJ Grand Wizzard Theodore.
