Outline, the makers of high quality, industry leading speaker systems for touring, installation and studio applications, has announced significant expansions to its corporate operations for 2011.
The company has named Tom Bensen as senior vice president and managing director for its U.S. subsidiary, Outline North America, LLC, and has hired Chris Hinds as European Sales Manager.
It is expected that the experience both Bensen and Hinds bring to the company will positively impact market acceptance of Outline’s new GTO Line Array speakers and iMode Intelligent Digital Loudspeaker Control Platform.

Tom Bensen has worked in the pro audio industry for the past 35 years.
In addition to his role with Outline, Tom is president of RF Pro, a company that provides management/consulting services, support, market access and representation for pro audio manufacturers. He has been identifying emerging technologies and bringing them to the forefront of the industry for the past 15 years.

Chris Hinds joins Outline following some years as European Sales Manager at Turbosound. His market experience is supported by a varied career that includes running a busy PA hire company and hands-on experience in manufacturing as well as national brand management for a major UK distributor.
Outline’s GTO line array series is a unique combination of high power output in a compact and relatively lightweight cabinet featuring Outline’s patented “Butterfly” design. The cabinets deliver crystal clear, non-colored, high SPL audio capable of bringing listening environment quality to the live event experience.
The iMode Intelligent Digital Loudspeaker Control Platform embeds a Linux-based CPU with integrated DSP chip, parameter control software and web server right into its powered speaker systems, thereby streamlining setup and control by eliminating the outboard gear between the console and power amplifier.
