One Systems has introduced the OPA-181SP, a high-output subwoofer intended for use in bi-amp applications and incorporating an 18-inch low-frequency transducer that offers high power handling and extended linear excursion.
The new OPA-181SP is optimized for use between 35 Hz and 80 Hz, with peak system output—127 dB SPL—achieved when 4th-order filters are implemented. Minimal system impedance is 8 ohms.
Utilizing a rectangular enclosure geometry, the OPA-181SP has a large internal volume that enhanced low-frequency response, particularly in comparison to subwoofers of similar size.
The input section consists of a single 4-position barrier strip. Multiple M10 rigging points allow for either vertical or horizontal eyebolt suspension.
The enclosure is built with void-free plywood and finished in On Point Audio’s Power Coat polyurea resin coating.
