One Systems is introducing the new 103IM direct weather loudspeaker at 2009 InfoComm in Orlando, designed to provide high acoustic output and IP45 rated direct weather performance in high performance acoustic spaces where a smaller loudspeaker system is required.
The 103IM incorporates a horn-loaded tweeter with 90 degree horizontal by 40 degree vertical pattern. The crossover design provides high power handling and reliability with performance degrading passive protection devices.
The unique design of the 3.5-inch (90 mm) woofer provides extended bandwidth response and superior low frequency handling. The large diameter 1.25-inch (31.8mm) voice coil in the woofer offers excellent system reliability.

This will be ideal for applications such as restaurants, theme parks, train stations and other venues where superior performance is needed from a small speaker system.”
The 103IM’s weatherproof injection molded enclosure is designed for use in extreme environments and normal ones, and offers a high degree of UV protection for use in direct sunlight.
The enclosure has two mounting points (M5) on the top and bottom of the enclosure and four mounting points (M5) for the optional PT-10 pan and tilt bracket on the back of the enclosure. It may be mounted using either the 103IM-U bracket (supplied), or the PT-10 pan and tilt bracket.
The grill assembly is a three layer design, optimized for acoustic transparency and protection from wind blown particles and water.
The 103IM is available in an eight ohm impedance version, as well as both 70.7 volt and 100 volt versions. The transformer are wide bandwidth transformers with 50, 25 and 12.5 watt taps that are accessible through the four position barrier strip.
