Ocean Way Audio and North American distributor American Music and Sound recently held an exclusive listening event in Santa Barbara, CA to highlight its recently introduced new AeroWave large-venue loudspeaker system technology that’s designed to deliver stereo acoustic coverage in both vertical and horizontal planes.
Integrators and industry professionals in attendance had the opportunity to hear five-time Grammy winner and Ocean Way Audio CEO Allen Sides discuss the development of AeroWave, getting an inside look at how the company is bringing its studio quality audio to live sound venues. The on-stage conversation with Sides was followed by a music demo, where attendees could walk around the facility and hear the proprietary AeroWave design.
“We were quite pleased with the attendance as a mix of A/V integrators, manufacturers representatives, and curious end users showed up to experience AeroWave in person,” notes Colin Studybaker, national sales manager for AeroWave. “Many of the guests commented on AeroWave’s impeccable sonic quality and consistent stereo coverage across the venue.”
Visitors at the upcoming Church Facilities Conference in October will have another chance to hear AeroWave, as the system will be featured in the show’s popular Live Sound Loudspeaker Demo. Attendees will be able to listen and compare loudspeakers from several different manufacturers in a controlled environment.
“Listening opportunities like this will demonstrate how AeroWave is a truly unique product,” adds Rob Impala, VP Pro Audio for American Music and Sound. “The system has been carefully designed to address the issues commonly found with traditional line array sound reinforcement. We’re very excited for more people to hear what AeroWave has to offer.”
