NSCA Announces In-Person 2021 Pivot To Profit Event In Atlanta

Sixth annual business conference designed to show integrators how to maintain core values and support ever-shifting customer demands while uncovering lucrative pathways to revenue.

NSCA has announced that its 2021 Pivot to Profit (P2P) conference will be held in person this September 21 and 22 at Atlanta Airport Marriott, expected to bring together 200-plus professionals from communications/AV and security/life safety integration firms across the U.S. and Canada to learn about new technology delivery methods and emerging technologies that will have the most impact in the future.

Because NSCA has seen many instances of integration companies struggling to make the switch to a subscription or services model, Pivot to Profit kicks off with a crucial discussion – “The Leadership Challenge: Driving Business Transformation” – led by BICSI CEO John Daniels and PSA/USAV CEO Matt Barnette. “Beyond the warranty period” is where many NSCA members end client relationships, which leaves money on the table and hands over a potential client to the competition. With project GPs hovering around 30% and services GP close to 60 percent, what can integrators do differently? Daniels and Barnette will offer their views and suggestions.

Daniels will focus on encouraging integrators to keep raising the bar by embracing emerging technologies in compliance with new digital and IT regulations. From there, Barnette will dive into successful recurring monthly revenue and business model transformation strategies used by security and life safety integrators.

Other Pivot to Profit discussion topics include:

— New Opportunities with Today’s Technologies
— Financial Leadership: Navigating Post-Pandemic
— Legal Guidance: Prevailing Wage, Subcontractors, Cybersecurity & More
— RMR: As-a-Service, Managed Services & Strategies
— Networked Solutions that Differentiate and Drive Revenue
— Integrators’ Evolving Role in School Security
— Becoming Relevant to the “Digital-First” Buyer
— Business Model Optimization
— Insights from the Experts: Moving Business Forward

“This might be your first in-person business conference session in well over a year,” says NSCA Executive Director Tom LeBlanc, “and it will be well worth the wait. In line with this year’s theme — Stay Relevant, Stay Ahead — attendees will uncover new ways to shift their businesses, think about how they can approach customers in new ways, connect with other leaders, and learn about resources to grow revenue.”

Attendees are also invited to participate in the NSCA Team-Building/Charity Activity on September 20 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Sponsored by alliantgroup, NSCA members will team up with youth from Atlanta’s YMCA to work together on fun and exciting STEM-related activities to educate the next generation of integrators. To participate, contact NSCA Event and Content Manager Emma Oldenburg at [email protected] or call 319-861-8638.
