The recent edition of the Smukfest festival in Skanderborg, Denmark presented international and Danish artists on five stages over the course of several days for more than 40,000 guests, saw the Bøgescenen main stage equipped with ROXX CLUSTER B2 Full Color blinders that delivered a wide range of possibilities for lighting designers.

Specifically, Nordic Rentals supplied 72 ROXX CLUSTER B2 Full Color blinders, which debuted last year at the iconic Glastonbury Festival as well as the popular Rock am Ring and Rock im Park festivals. The fixture is designed to provide users with numerous options by using an LED blinder with a color module.

The LED blinder imitates the DWE source of a traditional tungsten blinder but can be adapted to the specific artistic demands by switching off the “redshift” while utilizing variable dimming curves and fade times. In addition, the white light version of the LED blinder is stated to provide twice the output of a traditional blinder.

The Full Color version offers flexible color mix delivers a host of options for lighting designers to create special light expressions that suit the given artist on stage. It can also be used as “warm light” with an amber effect on the stage itself to supply added depth to the light expression.

ROXX CLUSTER B2 FC got its name from the fact that it can be assembled into clusters both horizontally and vertically. The fixture is also waterproof, and in light of the huge downpours of rain at Smukfest this year, the IP65 certification was put to particularly good use.
