The control interface for the new LEA CONNECT SERIES amplifiers deployed at the Mandel Cultural Center in Tel-Aviv.

New System Serving Cultural Center In Israel Driven By LEA Professional

What began as an upgrade led to a completely new system, with Charmer Group opting to deploy four CONNECT SERIES amplifiers, including three Network Connect CS704s and a Network Connect CS352.

TechTop Marketing, the largest importer in Israel for professional audio
equipment, recently worked with AVL systems firm Charmer Group to upgrade the audio system at the Mandel Cultural Center in Tel-Aviv in a project utilizing LEA Professional amplifiers.

The center is a 200-capacity multifunctional space split into a large room and a smaller space, and it hosts music and art classes, live performances, lectures and various other community-led activities. What initially began as an upgrade led to a completely new system, with Charmer Group opting to deploy four CONNECT SERIES amplifiers from LEA, including three Network Connect CS704s and a Network Connect CS352.

“I’m very open-minded when it comes to new technologies,” says Babu Levy, Co-Founder of Charmer Group. “We had initially looked at a different amplifier company for the project but when we were introduced to the LEA Professional products, including the Cloud control functionality, I knew we could better serve the venue and the community with their technology.”

The amplifiers, available with two, four or eight channels, offer direct HiZ (70- or 100-volt) or LoZ that’s selectable by channel. They offer three ways to connect: engage the built-in Wi-Fi access point, connect to a venue’s
Wi-Fi, or use the FAST Ethernet to connect to any local area network via Cat5/6 cable.

Further. LEA amplifiers have a built-in Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT Core, with the cloud platform designed to allow integrators to remotely control and monitor operational data points that are integral to maintaining system health, without the need to VPN into a Local Area Network.

“For us at Charmer Group, we don’t want a system that requires intense training and set up,” Levy concludes. “From the first time we saw LEA’s amps in action we knew this was a product we could easily implement into many of our projects. They’re just easy to work with and you can tell these products were manufactured with integrators in mind.”
