New Beyerdynamic Opus 600 Series Wireless Systems

The newly released Beyerdynamic Opus 600 Series features AutoScan technology, allowing users to choose from 16 pre-programmed UHF frequencies. As many as 16 channels per frequency range can potentially be used simultaneously. True-diversity technology, pilot signal detection, and adjustable squelch protect against drop-outs and noisy reception.

The Opus 600 series also offers an interchangeable capsule system for handheld transmitters, the option of a beltpack transmitter, and the choice of two different receivers (single and dual channel). All Opus 600 systems are available in the frequency ranges 506-530 MHz and 668-692 MHz in the United States.

The NE 600 D 2-channel receiver is housed in a 19-inch metal enclosure, the NE 600 S single channel receiver in a 9.5-inch metal enclosure. Each channel provides 16 pre-programmed UHF frequencies to choose from and utilizes AutoScan technology for automatic selection of the best available frequency. The chosen frequency can then be quickly sent to either the S 600 handeld transmitter or TS 600 beltpack transmitter using infrared technology. The NE 600 D dual receiver also has an integrated antenna splitter. Both receivers are packaged with brackets for rack mounting.

The S 600 handheld transmitter features low-battery-warning LED and a virtually noiseless on/off switch. The handheld transmitter sports a rugged plastic housing and runs on two AA batteries for an average operating time of more than 20 hours. Interchangeable microphone capsules, based on signature beyerdynamic wired microphones, include DM 960 (based on TG-X 60), DM 969 S (based on Opus 69), and EM 981 S (based on Opus 81).

The compact TS 600 beltpack transmitter can be used as a guitar transmitter or in combination with a lavalier microphone for live presentations or theatre applications. The input connection of the TS 600 is a standard 4-pin mini-XLR connector (plug or threaded). The TS 600 also features an input sensitivity controller and optional adapter cable (sold separately) that enables the input of line level signals. Like the S 600, the TS 600 also features a low noise on/off switch and a low-battery-warning LED and runs on two AA batteries for an average operating time of more than 20 hours.
