Ashly Audio has announced that its new loudspeaker lineup — including the AW Series and IS Series — is now shipping worldwide
“We introduced the speakers earlier this year as a response to the feedback we received from our integration partners,” says Noel Larson, vice president of Marketing and Business Development at Ashly Audio. “They were seeking a more complete and integrated solution, which included speakers. That feedback has proven to be extremely valuable as we now see businesses – from retail and restaurants, to houses of worship, to schools – seeking ways to effectively and affordably expand their audio offerings in an effort to safely reopen their doors.”
The new lineup is designed to work as standard on-wall loudspeakers or in eave/overhang placements, with options starting at $99 per pair. “Adding speakers is going to be critical as we seek for ways to more effectively serve individuals – be it in a business or a school – while maintaining safe social distancing in the months to come,” Larson adds. “We are now shipping key products in our total solution that will add audio to more locations, for organizations of all type and size.”
The AW Series is designed to provide on-wall options for installations where intelligibility of both speech and music are a priority. The line incorporates the company’s Protēa and AquaControl DSP and are equipped with a unique DOC crossover intended to reduce off-axis deviation in sound pressure levels to <9 dB, providing a wider “sweet spot” as well as full bass, crisp treble and an accurate midrange. AW loudspeakers are IP rated, making them suitable for patios, balconies, and many other under-eave applications.
IS Series column loudspeakers provide added flexibility by operating at 8 or 32 ohms, making them effective for simple applications or allowing larger numbers to be used in distributed installations – up to 32 IS loudspeakers can be run off a single Ashly PEMA or CA amplifier. The IS Series is designed to deliver more precise vertical dispersion and consistent sound The SP-12.1P subwoofer provides an extended low end and offers a portable “system-on-a-stick” configuration option.
When combined with Ashly amplifers and processors that incorporate Protēa or AquaControl DSP, the loudspeakers are stated to provide an even wider frequency range with improved audio intelligibility.
