Neumann has announced that it is supporting a METAlliance (Music Engineering and Technical Alliance) event at New York’s Avatar Studios on February 19th and 20th.
“In Session with the Guys” provides an opportunity for attendees to interact with METAlliance founders in an interactive session that will include live recording and mixing sessions.
Neumann, a METAlliance Pro Partner, will be loaning a pair of its M 149 Tube micro-phones in support of the event.
The second of METAlliance’s interactive events promises to be an intimate, rewarding experience for each participant.
The organization’s highly successful inaugural event was held last year in Hollywood at the historic studios in the Capitol Records tower, where participants got a close-up look at basic tracking, mixing and critical listening techniques.
Following are the sessions that will be offered in New York:
Recording:
• Session One: Phil Ramone and Al Schmitt
• Session Two: Elliot Scheiner and Ed Cherney
Mixing:
• Session Three: Chuck Ainlay
• Session Four: “In the Box” home studio mixing with Frank Filipetti and George Massenburg in a home studio environment
Attendance to all four sessions is $2495.00; space is extremely limited to ensure an intimate, personal setting.
