MXL Microphones will be showcasing a selection of new web conferencing microphones and systems at the 2020 ISE show (booth 11-D150). New products making their debut include the AC-44 USB web conferencing mic and AC-44 LCR multi-microphone system for use with a Zoom Room Speaker Switch.
MXL is also expanding on its AC-360 conferencing line with a new ceiling mount, installed into the ceiling of the company’s ISE booth throughout the show.
The MXL AC-44 measures 2.5 x 3-inches, and is 1-inch tall, designed for limited space applications that include huddle and conference rooms. It can also be affixed to medical carts for telemedicine, placed in robotics for receiving voice commands, and incorporated into OEM applications. It uses MXL’s 3-capsule boundary, designed to create a small mic with a wide pickup arc. A cardioid pickup pattern helps focus on the sources in front of the mic while rejecting unwanted noise.
The AC-44 is powered by USB-C connection, making it compatible with any computer without having to download any drivers. An all-metal frame and metal grille help to ensure it can withstand the rigors of daily use in busy industrial environments. It’s available in three different colors: white, black and cobalt blue, with the ability to offer custom colors and capsule configurations.
The AC-44 LCR is an “audio tracking” microphone system that will integrate with software and cameras. This 3-mic array will interface with Zoom Video Communications’ new Zoom Room Feature, Zoom Speaker Switch.
