Muzak Partners With Café Sevilla To Transform Famous Gaslamp Restaurant And Night Club

Muzak, a Mood Media company, is excited to announce that Muzak has partnered with the famous Café Sevilla Spanish Restaurant and Night Club to transform the audio/video experience at the newly relocated Gaslamp Quarter location in San Diego.

With the new location offering three floors of dining and live entertainment, Muzak consulted with Café Sevilla management and ACM Architects to design and install a fully integrated audio/video system that would deliver an unforgettable sensory experience for each area of the property, including the street-level tapas bar, the second floor restaurant and the downstairs night club.

In the tapas bar and restaurant, a state-of-the-art JBL speaker system offers concert quality sound for the Gypsy Fusion and Classical Flamenco dinner shows and live music performances.

Downstairs in the night club, an 8-foot high by 20-foot long LED video wall and live performance stage with translucent LED tubes form the centerpiece of a sophisticated custom-built lighting system that ignites the club experience by coordinating color, computer imagery and sound into a pulse-pounding sensory mix.

All lighting is centrally controlled by a Martin LightJockey PC based controller and the LED architectural lighting is controlled by a SunLite Stick wall panel controller to enhance the mood. Three custom sub-woofers and six Mid-Hi speaker systems are suspended from the ceiling to maximize the richness of the sound while minimizing vibration and noise for neighboring properties.

The entire installation was completed in less than four months by a specialized team of Muzak technicians.

“Since 1987, the Café Sevilla bar, restaurant and night club has been a destination in the Gaslamp Quarter, providing great live entertainment, music and food. Mood Media and Muzak are proud to partner with Café Sevilla to create the one-of-a-kind audio/visual experience that delights guests and keeps them coming back for years to come,” said Lorne Abony, Chairman and CEO of Mood Media Corporation.

Café Sevilla previously engaged Muzak to consult and design the integrated audio/video system for the original construction and launch of their Long Beach location in 2006.
