MTS Releases New Performer Two-Channel Dante-Enabled Audio Interface

Proprietary design that's AES67-compliant also includes microphone/line and Hi-Z instrument pre-amplifiers.

Media Technology Systems (MTS) has introduced the Performer, a new AES67-compliant, Dante-enabled pro audio interface offering two input channels in a proprietary design that also includes microphone/line and Hi-Z instrument pre-amplifiers.

The extended dynamic range mic pre-amp has a stated continuous gain range of -60 to +4 dBu (+24 dBu max), with no pad, while maintaining 20 dB of headroom at all settings. The mic input has selectable +48-volt phantom power, while the balanced line input operates across a state continuous gain range of -40 to +24 dBu, with +44 dBu max, allowing it to accept high signal levels such as the output of a power amplifier, a 70-volt distributed sound system tap, or a guitar amp.

The 1mΩ Hi-Z -Instrument input is designed to supply clear sound quality with electric guitar and instrument pickups. Input channels are converted and routed to the Dante network I/O, with two network channels available via the Performer’s “Network Return” line level outputs. The XLR, +4 dBU (+24 dBu max) balanced Di-Out is assignable from either the mic/line or Hi-Z input.

The Performer is housed in a durable aluminum extruded case with recessed protected controls and connectors, and removable rubber protective “bumpers,” with a 1RU single or dual rack-mount kit available. It’s P.o.E. powered via a suitable network switch or available P.o.E. injector.
