Mojave Audio & Royer Labs Sponsoring
Bobby Owsinski At Gearfest

Noted producer and engineer to conduct a presentation titled Social Media Promotion for Musicians at the annual 2-day tradeshow in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Mojave Audio and its sibling company Royer Labs, are sponsoring producer/engineer Bobby Owsinski during the upcoming Sweetwater Sound Gearfest tradeshow. The annual Gearfest is a 2-day event offering an up-close look at the latest gear, a variety of informative workshops, and performances by some of the best-known musicians in the business.

Social media, computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests, and other forms of expression, plays an important role in the lives of many people—particularly those in the creative arts or who are involved with computers. With sampling, synthesis, sequencing, and the recording arts all being tightly integrated with the latest technology, social media has the potential to be a major source of opportunity for musicians and audio professionals.

During this year’s Gearfest—held Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23 from 9 am to 6 pm—producer / engineer Bobby Owsinski will conduct a presentation titled Social Media Promotion for Musicians. Owsinski is an in-demand producer/engineer working not only with a variety of recording artists, but on commercials, television, and motion pictures as well. He was one of the first to delve into surround sound music mixing and is also one of the best-selling authors in the music recording industry with 23 books to his credit.

During his presentation, Owsinski will discuss a variety of opportunities and considerations on how musicians can take advantage of social media for their career advancement. Owsinski is scheduled to speak on Saturday, June 23rd 12:45 PM – 1:45 PM at Conference Hall 2 A & B.

Reflecting on the forthcoming Gearfest and the opportunity to share his knowledge and experience with those in attendance, Owsinski offered the following thoughts, “Every musician knows how important social media is to their career, but just being on a platform is way different than using it as an effective promotional tool. My session at Gearfest is designed to show attendees how to get the most out of their social presence in the most efficient manner so there’s more time left for creating music.”

Dusty Wakeman, President of Mojave Audio, commented on Owsinski’s forthcoming social media presentation, “Bobby is well-known in our industry for both his accomplishments and his perspective on all matters relating to music and the recording arts. I’m confident his discussion on social media and its opportunities for musicians will be both insightful and enlightening. All of us at Mojave and Royer look forward to his appearance.”
