At InfoComm 2014, Meyer Sound (demo room N110, booth C9725) is showcasing remotely powered installation loudspeakers outfitted with IntelligentDC technology, along with LEO and LYON linear loudspeaker systems and AVB-capable CAL column array loudspeakers.
IntelligentDC systems are a range of self-powered loudspeakers driven by the remote IntelligentDC power supply, with one cable carrying power and balanced audio to reduce installation time and cost. Packing self-powering, including consistency and reliability, these systems are designed for many commercial distributed installations and other systems that demand audio quality, as well as for where local AC outlets are not available or possible. The InfoComm demos show configurations most commonly found in integration projects, and include a number of products with IntelligentDC technology: the MM-4XP self-powered loudspeaker, the UPJunior-XP and UPJ-1XP VariO loudspeakers, the UP-4XP loudspeaker, and the UMS-1XP and MM-10 subwoofers. Another remotely powered installation loudspeaker, the Stella-8C, is also demonstrated.
Also showcased in the live demos is the MJF-210, the lightest stage monitor in the Meyer Sound product line, and the steerable CAL column array loudspeaker.
LYON, the latest member of the linear loudspeaker system family, is a primary focus at the the Meyer Sound booth. Complemented by the 1100-LFC low-frequency control element and the Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system, LEO Family products can anchor a powerful system for installations.
In addition, live technical demonstrations on the Meyer Sound stand and the AVnu Alliance Pavilion showcase Audio Video Bridging (AVB) interoperability, featuring the CAL loudspeaker routing audio signals on an AVB network.
As part of the InfoComm University education program, Buford Jones, live audio and education specialist for Meyer Sound, leads two sessions on Wednesday, June 18. “Principles of Live Mixing” takes place at 10:30 am and “Mix It Up—Live Audio Workshop” at 12:30 pm.
