METAlliance Debuting “Recording & Mixing Drums” At AES 2022 

New book provides specific in-depth sections with photos and diagrams from each of the METAlliance members and their detailed takes on the art of recording drummers.

The METAlliance has released "Recording & Mixing Drums -- Contrasting Techniques from Seven Lifetimes of Recording Experience" and is hosting several book-signing opportunities at the AES show.

The METAlliance (Music Engineering and Technical Alliance) is debuting its new book, “Recording & Mixing Drums — Contrasting Techniques from Seven Lifetimes of Recording Experience,” at the ongoing 2022 AES Convention at the Javits Center in New York City.

The first in a series, the book can be ordered here for $69.95 and picked up at the AES Show at the Blackbird Academy booth 243 (on level 3) and it can be taken to several book-signing events at the show. The book will also be made available online later this years. (Find out more here.)

“Recording and Mixing Drums” features specific in-depth sections with photos and diagrams from each of the METAlliance members and their detailed takes on the art of recording drummers, including:

• Tracking drums, both technically and getting the best performance
• Mixing
• History
• Favorite drum tracks
