McDSP has announced the release of plug-ins supporting 64-bit AAX (Avid Audio eXtension) DSP and AAX Native plug-ins for Avid Pro Tools 11.
This release is a Mac only release, requires the iLok2, and is a free upgrade for McDSP v5 customers. Plug-ins that currently support Pro Tools 11 include 6030 Ultimate Compressor, Analog Channel, Channel G, Channel G Compact, CompressorBank, DE555, FilterBank, FutzBox, MC2000, ML4000, and NF575.
McDSP will continue to provide 32/64-bit AAX Native and AAX DSP plug-in format support for Pro Tools 10 and Pro Tools 11 customers. Installers will contain both 32 and 64-bit versions of the plug-ins. Windows support will be released soon.
The latest version of Pro Tools, the most used and trusted DAW in the industry, provides exponentially improved AAX plug-in performance over prior versions, time-saving capabilities such as offline bounce to disk, and complete sound parity when sharing sessions between DSP-accelerated and native-based Pro Tools systems.
Pro Tools 11 and Pro Tools HD 11 are available in the online Avid Store and at Avid resellers worldwide. With Pro Tools 11, audio professionals will be able to take on the most demanding productions with new, high-powered audio and video engines, 64-bit architecture, expanded metering and direct HD video workflows.
