Matt Ward Named CEO Of Newly Formed Brainworx USA

Will be focusing on developing new business opportunities and assisting with distribution and marketing efforts for both Brainworx and its American sister company, Plugin Alliance

Plug-in developer and analog modeling specialist Brainworx has appointed former Matt Ward as CEO of its newly-formed U.S. division, Brainworx USA. The announcement was made in late January.

Prior to his recent 10-year-tenure in executive management at Universal Audio, Ward worked in product management for other prominent companies in the professional audio and music industries, including Studer Revox, Otari, and E-mu Systems. More recently, he has served as a strategic advisor to other notable companies such as Manley Labs and PreSonus.

As of now, Ward will be focusing on developing new business opportunities and assisting with distribution and marketing efforts for both Brainworx and its American sister company, Plugin Alliance, in the U.S. He will also be working directly with Brainworx Germany CEO Dirk Ulrich on growth strategies for the Brainworx family of companies.

“I am proud and excited to announce both the formation of Brainworx USA and Matt Ward taking up its CEO position,” states Ulrich. “Matt has been a friend and mentor of mine for several years, and, following his work with Universal Audio and beyond, he is the perfect fit for Brainworx with his widely-spread contacts and the respect he has gained for himself in the pro audio industry.”

“Brainworx has rapidly risen through the ranks to become a market leader in plug-in development,” adds Ward. “The passion that they have for high-quality audio is readily apparent in their products. There is tremendous potential for growth, and I’m excited by the possibilities. Dirk Ulrich and I have been friends for years. It’s going to be a lot of fun to see all those ideas we’ve talked about taking shape.”

Having already started Brainworx USA, February 2014 sees new CEO Ward and Brainworx owner Ulrich opening a new office in Scotts Valley, CA to assist with focusing on business development and growth strategies.
