Mackie has announced the addition of a new line of mobile production microphones to its EM Series, designed to capture clear sound via smartphones and DSLR cameras.
The new EM-93M is a compact directional microphone comes with multiple connecting cables as well as the necessary mounting hardware. It incorporates a shockmount to help eliminate the bumps, while a furry windscreen is designed to lessen the impact of wind noise.
The EM-93MK is a kit that includes the EM-93M mic with both furry and foam windscreens, along with a gimbal tripod and extension pole. It also includes a bright, variable-temperature LED video light with diffuser, and three different cold shoe mounts for setup with DSLRs and other devices.
The EM-98MS is a shotgun mic designed to reject off-axis background noise, with high-pass filters and variable gain control for tailoring. Audio can be monitored via the built-in headphone output. It also includes overdrive protection mode and auto on-off and is powered via a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery. The EM-98MS includes two different windscreens, shockmount, cables, and a carrying case.
Finally, the EM-95ML is a lavalier mic with its own integrated in-line amplifierfor both smartphones and DSLRs. It’s an omnidirectional condenser type that’s designed to deliver crisp, detailed sound and clarity.
The new EM Series models are available now at Mackie.com and pro audio dealers. Sold individually, U.S. MAP pricing is $59.99 for the EM-93M, $139.99 for EM-93MK, $69.99 for EM-95ML, and $139.99 for EM-98MS.
