Link Announces Dante Enabled Stage Box

The addition of Dante enhances the audio transport capabilities of the existing Link system while making it more flexible.

Link announced at Prolight + Sound that it will implement Audinate’s Dante in Link’s DGlinkTM Stage Box system.

Dante solution provides a no-hassle, self-configuring, plug-and-play digital audio network that uses standard Internet Protocols, and is scalable solution that works on both 100Mbits and 1Gigabit Ethernet. Additionally, Audinate offers a Dante Virtual Soundcard, a software solution that turns a PC or Mac into a Dante-enabled device.

“The addition of Dante significantly enhances the audio transport capabilities of our system while making it more flexible,” stated Marco Piromalli, President of Link. “We look forward to debuting a system at InfoComm10 in Las Vegas this June.”

DGlink is specifically designed for live applications that require the integration and distribution of Analog, AES-EBU, and Ethernet based protocols.

“Partnering with Link offers a Stage Box solution that will take advantage of the many benefits Dante™ has to offer,” said Lee Ellison, Audinate’s Chief Executive Officer. “Link’s unique hybrid approach, coupled with Dante’s advanced technology, offers the end user a distribution system that will improve audio quality and simplify setup.”
