L-com, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it has released a brand new line of 45° angled D-Sub cable assemblies.
These 45° D-Sub cables are designed for use in enclosures, cabinets or other confined applications where straight or 90° D-Sub connectors will not fit.
With the increasing popularity of its 45° angled USB and HDMI cables, L-com now offers a D-Sub version for those customers whose application may require it. These rugged cable assemblies feature a standard D-Sub connector on one end and a 45° left or right exit D-Sub connector on the other end.
They are available in DB9, DB15 and DB25 sizes, in various lengths, and each series offers two angle options. Custom versions can be manufactured with modest minimum requirements.
“The 45 degree angle feature provides greater flexibility in many tight fit D-Sub connectivity applications,” said Steve Smith, Product Manager. “As enclosures become smaller and smaller our angled cable assemblies are becoming more popular with engineers and systems designers.”
L-com’s new D-Sub cables also feature gold plated contacts that provide reliable connections with repeated mating cycles, and utilize 360° fully shielded for protection against EMI/RFI. These cables are currently stocked in L-com’s North Andover, MA, USA fulfillment center for same day shipment.
