KV2 Audio Compact ESD Cube To Debut At InfoComm 2019

Compact passive 5-inch loudspeaker utilizes trans-coil AIC (Active Impedance Control) technology found in many existing KV2 products.

Making its initial debut at Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt in April, KV2 Audio‘s ESD Cube will make its US debut at InfoComm 2019. The tiniest loudspeaker that KV2 Audio has ever made, the ESD Cube is a compact passive 5-inch loudspeaker designed for audio reproduction where space, sightlines and aesthetics are at a premium.

The ESD Cube utilizes a unique trans-coil design for vocal reproduction, extended high frequency response, increased dynamic range and low distortion. The Cube will be demonstrated alongside other KV2 products in KV2’s demo room W225AB at the show or you can visit stand #5789.

KV2’s exclusive trans-coil AIC (Active Impedance Control) technology, already deployed in a number of KV2 products, has been taken to a whole new level in the Cube.

According to KV2’s founder and chief engineer, George Krampera, the ESD Cube’s unique design makes it stand out from the crowd sonically, even though physically it is designed to blend seamlessly into its environment. “What sets the Cube apart from similar offerings by other manufacturers is the unique trans-coil technology incorporated into its 5-inch twin cone speaker,” he states. “We had already seen excellent results using our AIC technology in other, larger systems, and I was determined to develop it still further for the Cube. The results have been beyond even our own expectations with perfect phase response, increased dynamic range and the lowest distortion of any speaker in its class.”

The ESD Cube may be used as a standalone system with up to eight Cubes powered by a single ESP1000 amplifier or with the ESD1.10 single 10-inch passive subwoofer for applications requiring more low end reinforcement. One ESP1000 amplifier will run up to four Cubes and two ESD1.10s. A simple, proprietary flying bracket completes the system for a low profile look and easy installation.

Housed in a durable and stylish aluminium enclosure that is available in any RAL color, the ESD Cube’s compact dimensions make it ideal for applications requiring discreet peripheral and/or distributed sound reinforcement including bars, hotels, houses of worship, museums, tourist attractions, and corporate venues.

KV2 Audio sales director, Dave Croxton, will be presenting the Cube for the first time in the US at InfoComm. “The Cube is our small solution to many of today’s big audio problems,” he says. “How do you fill an area with high quality sound without seeing the speakers? How do you create dynamics, richness, and musicality from a speaker that is not much bigger than your hand? How do you extend frequency range and reduce distortion without the use of a compression driver? The Cube solves all of these problems and more. Anyone with a venue where the priority is high quality audio in an ultra-compact, discreet format with an accent on design should be talking to us.”

Visit KV2 and see the Cube at InfoComm 2019, demo room W255AB or stand #5789.
