KRK has announced the introduction of new KNS 6402 and KNS 8402 headphones, building on the KNS 6400 and 8400 models but with enhanced durability and comfort.
Both new models offer a closed-back circumaural (around the ear) design and a headband with a self-aligning yoke system to help ensure the best fit. Constructed with impact-resistant plastic material, the headphones are light in weight and durable, and have field-replaceable parts that include the pads and cable.
“KNS headphones are my personal go-to; they faithfully replicate what I’m listening to and quickly replaced my much more expensive pair,” says Sterling Doak, Director of Marketing for Gibson. “New and improved, we’ve taken our favorite headphones up a notch with a strong build and feather-weight comfort. For anyone from music hobbyists to professional engineers searching for a pair of professional headphones without breaking the bank, KNS is a fantastic option. Plus, with excellent isolation performance, KNS headphones let you focus on the music, without distraction from external sounds.”
The KNS 6402 has acoustic cellular foam pads and provides isolation stated as up to 26 dBA with a 122 dB maximum SPL rating and a frequency response of 10 Hz to 22 kHz. The KNS 8402 offers memory foam pads with leatherette covers for added comfort during long hours of listening and recording sessions. The headphones are stated to provide up to 30 dBA of isolation and a slightly higher maximum SPL of 124 dB and a frequency response of 5 Hz to 23 kHz. In addition, the cable includes an in-line volume control.
The new KNS 6402 and KNS 8402 headphones are available for purchase via krkmusic.com and all dealer partners.
