Jonathan McGarry Joins Yamaha Pro Audio CIS Sales Staff

Former Revolabs lead field sales engineer for the Eastern U.S. and Canada signs on to support the new Northeastern CIS territory.

Yamaha Corporation of America, Professional Audio division, has expanded its sales staff to include Jonathan McGarry to a new group that will specifically handle the Commercial Installation Solutions (CIS) product line.

McGarry has joined the Yamaha CIS team from Revolabs, one of the Yamaha group of companies where he was the lead field sales engineer for the Eastern U.S. and Canada. He attained status as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) from InfoComm, a prestigious achievement in the commercial audio industry. Prior to Revolabs, he was the IT and conferencing technologies and AV specialist at Genzyme Corporation.

“The CIS market is evolving rapidly, and has been identified as a critical growth component for Yamaha,” states Alan Macpherson, general manager, Yamaha Professional Audio division. “The formation of a dedicated CIS sales team provides our contracting and sound reinforcement dealers with the tools and support they require to better serve their customers, and Jon McGarry will play a vital sales role.”

Based in East Aurora, New York, McGarry will support the new Northeastern CIS territory that includes Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Ontario-East in Canada.

“I’m very excited about Jon’s appointment to our new CIS sales team and the anticipated growth expected in this very important market segment,” states Paul Furtkamp, director of sales, Commercial Audio and NEXO systems.

McGarry will report to newly promoted CIS sales manager, Randy Riebe, who reports to Furtkamp.
