JoeCo Releases New JoeCoRemote App For iPad

v2.0 software offers new Monitor window and more efficient communication

BlackBox Recorder manufacturer JoeCo has announced that a new version of its JoeCoRemote software app for iPad, v2.0, is now available to download from the iTunes App Store. JoeCoRemote for iPad enables remote control and operation of any 24- or 64-channel BlackBox Recorder or Player.

In addition to the standard input metering display, this latest software release includes a new, dedicated Monitor window offering real-time monitor mix control. The window features expandable channel strips with graphic faders, pan, PFL, solo and mute controls. This enables a separate headphone monitor mix to be easily created.

The new software also provides more robust signaling between the JoeCoRemote hardware interface and the software app, leading to more efficient communication in both wireless and wired set-ups. Preliminary support for JoeCo’s forthcoming BlackBox BBR1MP Recorder with integrated mic preamps is included as well, with a demo display of the mic pre control window.

In order to run the full working version of the JoeCoRemote v2.0 app, a JoeCoRemote hardware interface is required. Users will also need to install the latest BlackBox system software – v3.1.22 – on their recorder or player. This is now available for download from the End User area of the JoeCo website (login required).
