Innovox has announced the introduction of the HLA-800 Series of self-powered loudspeakers providing a hybrid integration of an eight-element J–array and a directional dipole low-frequency loudspeaker pair, a unique combination that yields more precise vertical control from a compact package.
Designed for a range of installation applications such as houses of worship, auditoriums, sports venues, presentation spaces and more, HLA-800 Series models are available in a vertical configuration (V version) or a side-by-side configuration (SxS version). The variations are functionally identical and are offered as alternatives based on dimensional and aesthetic needs.
Horizontal disperion is 120 degrees, while three vertical coverage options are offered: HLA-850 (50 degrees down to 240 Hz), HLA-835 (35 degrees to 240 Hz) and HLA-820 (20 degrees to 240 Hz). Frequency response is stated as 60 Hz to 20 kHz (±3 dB) with long-term output of 119 dB and peak output of 125 dB.
In all models, the line source portion contains eight propriatary 3.5-inch midrange and eight high-frequency ribbon drivers. Meanwhile, the low-frequency portion incorporates two 8-inch low-frequency drivers in a dipole configuration to extend vertical LF control. These components are driven by an onboard Innovox DSP–amplifier stated to provide up to 800 watts (per channel, RMS) of class D power.
The durable enclosures are made of steel, aluminum and multi-ply baltic birch, and they’re outfitted with 3/8-16 threaded points on each side at center mass. A steel yoke mount is included, with an optional wall mount offered. Standard colors are black and white, with custom colors also available. Input I/O includes balanced line level and XLR. Dimensions and weights vary between models depending on version.
