At the Prolight + Sound show in Frankfurt, Harman Professional Solutions introduced three new Soundcraft Notepad mixers: the Notepad-5, -8FX and -12FX.
All three models are desktop analog mixing surfaces that include Harman signal processing and USB I/O connectivity.
“Soundcraft Notepad mixers have a long history with musicians and audio professionals who need high-quality, small-format desktop mixing solutions,” said Scott Wood, mixers solutions manager, Harman Professional Solutions. “The new Notepad generation maintains that trusted history, while adding legendary Lexicon signal processing and USB I/O connectivity, all at an entry-level price.”
Notepad mixers include professional microphone preamps, XLR combination jack mic/line inputs and 1/4-inch balanced inputs for connecting keyboards, playback devices and more. USB I/O connectivity enables convenient recording and playback with digital audio workstations or video audio workstations. Onboard DSP includes Lexicon reverbs, chorus and delay with tap tempo control.
A traditional channel strip layout provides efficient access to desired channels and sends. Up to three EQs per channel provide simple audio shaping on incoming audio signals. An Aux/FX send feeds audio signals to external effects send or the built-in Lexicon processing.
In addition, a master fader with LED metering provides XLR stereo output level control, while a rotary headphone level provides control for master mix or aux output levels.
Notepad-5, -8FX and -12FX are expected to be available in July 2017. Pricing (MSRP): Notepad-5: $123.75; Notepad-8FX: $161.25; Notepad-12FX: $198.75.
