The new Grande Centre Point Space Pattaya, five-star hotel located in the seaside city of Chonbui, Thailand, has been equipped with sound reinforcement systems utilizing a variety of HARMAN Professional components, including models from JBL, Soundcraft, dbx, BSS, Crown and AMX.
The hotel offers a range of facilities that have an outer-space-inspired design, including a 12,000-square-meter intergalactic water park—the largest of its kind in the country. Integration firm Mahajak Development Co. worked closely with the HARMAN team to outfit the complex with audio as well as lighting designs utilizing Martin fixtures
At the facility’s Space Convention Centre, Mahajak installed JBL Control 18C/T, Control 14C/T and Control 19CS ceiling loudspeakers to provide coverage throughout the modular meeting spaces. The team also included Soundcraft Si Impact digital consoles, JBL BRX308-LA line arrays and BRX325SP subwoofers for main PA and mixing for events requiring concert-style presentations.
In addition, JBL PRX Series portable loudspeakers and subwoofers can be deployed for spontaneous events in miscellaneous locations. Meanwhile, the water park is outfitted with JBL Control 25-1 loudspeakers fitted with IP55-rated WeatherMax foam grilles to protect against inevitable water splashes.
In addition, networked by a BSS Soundweb London BLU-100 signal processor, the Control 25-1 loudspeakers provide immersive background music as well as emergency announcements and fire safety alerts, with a JBL CSPM-1 dynamic close-talking microphone completing the paging system. Mahajak also installed an AMX NX3200 Integrated Controller and Modero Series touch panels to give staff intuitive and convenient control over the audio system.
To provide a unified audio experience across the building’s entrance and outdoor areas, the team deployed AMX7215/95 and JBL ASB7118 two-way loudspeakers treated with WRX weather protection, as well JBL Control 88M mushroom landscape loudspeakers. Audio power is provided byCrown amplifiers with digital signal processing provided by dbx DriveRack VENU360 loudspeaker management systems.
