Harman Debuts BSS DCP-555 Conferencing Processor For Meeting Room Audio

Provides sound processing and automated mixing of mics, PC audio, and other sources, as well as acoustic echo cancellation

Harman Professional has introduced the BSS DCP-555 digital conferencing processor, an intelligent audio technology designed specifically for web and audio conferencing in meeting spaces.

The BSS DCP-555 provides sound processing and automated mixing of microphones, PC audio, and other audio sources, with acoustic echo cancellation to help ensure the meeting is clear and effective.

Audio from multiple microphones can be output as a single, optimized signal over USB, making it suitable for web conferencing using the AMX Acendo Core or BYOD applications. With the inclusion of onboard VoIP connectivity, rooms can be equipped with audio conferencing without the need for a separate IP phone in the room.

Because configuration is performed using a web interface with no additional software required, setup can be done easily from any device connected to the same network.”

The DCP-555 can support up to four rooms simultaneously using bidirectional VoIP connections. It also offers a range of onboard I/O connection options, with AES67, BLU link, USB and 16×8 analog audio all built in and GPIO and relays available for simplified control.

It also includes built-in microphone tunings and JBL loudspeaker tuning presets. When using the DCP-555 along with AMX SVSI networked AV systems, encoder syncing is available to ensure the audio and video signals are aligned
