Gary Trenda Named RF Applications Engineer For Sound Devices

Live production veteran brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role.

Sound Devices has announced the appointment of Gary Trenda as an RF Applications Engineer, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the live production and event industry to his new role. He previously served as Applications Engineer for Professional Wireless Systems.

Gary has advised Sound Devices for many years and his experience in RF coordination is extremely impressive. We are excited to welcome him into an official role at the company,” says Sound Devices CEO Matt Anderson. 

Trenda began working in live sound shortly after graduating with a degree in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, was the first audio RF technician for Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas, and has since worked as an audio and RF engineer on a variety of system deployments ranging from installations to special events. His recent events include the Latin Grammy Awards and Super Bowl LV, and he’s also provided frequency coordination services for a range of events that include University of Wisconsin football games to the Salesforce.com Dreamforce conference. He is a current member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and the Audio Engineering Society.
