Furman Celebrates 40th Anniversary At 2014 NAMM Show

Serves two major markets — professional A/V signal processors, AC power conditioning and distribution — and now delivering energy management solutions featuring the BlueBOLT cloud-based platform

At the 2014 NAMM Show, Core Brands marked the 40th anniversary of its Furman brand of power management solutions.

Founded in 1974, Furman serves two major markets — professional A/V signal processors, AC power conditioning and distribution — and is now delivering energy management solutions featuring the BlueBOLT cloud-based platform.

“Our long history of engineering power products has provided us with a rich knowledge base and legacy to continue our tradition of innovating and building better products year in, year out,” says John Benz, director of power and accessories, Core Brands. “It’s challenging to maintain market leadership for as long as we have. We owe our success to our focus on listening to and understanding our customers’ needs, and then applying our expertise to develop products that meet their requirements even in the most demanding applications.”

Originally founded primarily as a manufacturer of line signal processing products, Furman captured the industry spotlight a few years later with its state-of-the-art power products — and the company has dominated the power management market ever since. Furman was acquired by Panamax in 2007 and is now part of Core Brands.

“The world has changed immensely in 40 years, and our products have never been more relevant than they are today — especially as companies and individuals become more connected and reliant on electronic systems to help them work, play, communicate and live,” Benz adds. “As electronics become more mission-critical than ever, keeping systems healthy is not just about power.

“We’re committed to delivering a solid foundation of power, energy and network management that creates a reliable infrastructure for our customers. We are grateful to our loyal customers for trusting Furman over the past 40 years, and we’re looking forward to what the future has in store.”

In conjunction with the 40th anniversary, Furman debuted three new power conditioning products at this year’s NAMM Show — the M-8S and PS-8R E III power conditioner and sequencer models and the P-8 PRO C Classic Series power conditioner.
