Fostex has introduced the 6301DT, a Dante-enabled active monitor for portable and fixed applications that acts as a two-channel device on a Dante network, with a switch on the back panel to select channel 1, 2 or 1+2 (mixed) output.

The new 6301DT is equipped with a 20-watt class D amplifier driving a 4-inch full-range driver. RJ45 Dante and 1/4-inch TS analog inputs are onboard, and the monitor is stated to support sample rates of up to 96 kHz via Audinate’s Ultimo chip. A switching power supply accepts 100 to 240 volts AC.

Housed in a die-cast aluminum enclosure, the 6301 DT has the same physical dimensions as the rest of the 6301N series. The recessed front-panel knob, switch and loudspeaker grille are designed to prevent inadvertent damage in case of a fall. An optional EB-6301 mounting bracket facilitates surface-mounting at any angle.
