Focusrite has announced the introduction of the Clarett+ OctoPre, a new 8-in/8-out ADAT (48 kHz) microphone preamp with eight dedicated channel inserts, eight line outputs, eight mic preamps, and word clock in and out.

Equipped with the company’s all-analogue Air circuitry, Clarett+ OctoPre is designed to emulate the classic Focusrite ISA 110 from the original Studio Console. The A-D and D-A converters are designed to offer pristine conversion, and with connection to a 2Pre,4Pre or 8Pre, it’s straightforward to expand I/O via ADAT.

With a stated 118 dB of dynamic range and -129 dBu EIN, the Clarett+ OctoPre is designed to preserve the natural sound of source signals. The balanced signal path is intended to ensure inbound signals are clean and with very low noise. Clarett+ OctoPre’s JFET guitar inputs are designed to capture the true characteristics of guitars.

Hitmaker Expansion offers a bundle of plugins and virtual instruments that include Brainworx bx_console Focusrite SC, bx_masterdesk, Focusrite Red (Red 2 and Red 3), Antares Auto-Tune  Access, XLN Audio Addictive Keys, Relab LX480, and more. In addition, users receive regular discounts and exclusive versions of software titles from Focusrite’s Plug-in Collective.
