Fishman Appoints Iain Wilson As International Sales Manager

Primary role is the development of strategies to increase sales in each of company's current export markets while seeking new business opportunities

Fishman has announced the appointment of Iain Wilson as international sales manager, where his primary role is the development of strategies to increase sales in each of company’s current export markets while seeking new business opportunities for the company.

Wilson is also managing the existing distribution network, carrying out a SWOT analysis of the distribution companies and their respective markets, and looking at constructive and effective ways to increase sales in each region.

In addition, he is overseeing Fishman’s international clinic tours, workshops, sponsorships and other marketing events with the help of demo artist and clinician Steve Fairclough. And, he’s working with distributors in each market to maximize exposure in consumer and trade publications.

Wilson has been in the music industry for the past 20 years and has garnered international experience with companies such as Lowden Guitars, Breedlove, G7th capos.

He has also worked for Fishman in various international sales roles since March 2003, and for the past six years has spearheaded the company’s OEM business in Asia, now returning to the role where he began 10 years ago.

“It’s great to combine my knowledge of guitar brands, markets and international sales,” Wilson says. “I’m looking forward to driving Fishman’s international business again and with the release of new electric guitar products, there’s a lot of work to be done.”
