FaitalPRO Launches New Coaxial Drivers At Prolight + Sound 2017

Designed for applications such as forming the basis of stage monitors and nearfield loudspeakers, as well as ceiling/distributed applications.

FaitalPRO has launched two new full-range coaxial loudspeaker drivers, the new 10-inch 10HX230 and 12-inch 12HX230, at this week’s Prolight + Sound 2017 in Frankfurt.

The new drivers, joining the recently released 8XH230 8-inch coaxial, are designed for applications such as forming the basis of stage monitors and nearfield loudspeakers, as well as ceiling/distributed applications.

Both the 10- and 12-inch woofers have 2.5-inch voice coils and are rated to handle up to 500 watts (250 watts AES) with 96 dB efficiency (97 dB for the 12-inch model), operating in a frequency range of 75 Hz to 4 kHz.

The compression drivers, which have 1.4-inch voice coils, are stated to handle up to 60 watts (30 watts AES) with 107 dB efficiency, operating in a frequency range of 1.5 kHz to 20 kHz.

Meanwhile, the components of the recently released 8-inch model (8XH230) offer similar power handling and efficiency ratings, operating in a frequency range of 70 Hz to 20 kHz. The components in all three models in the series operate at 8 ohms.

“These new professional coaxials are really a great product and, of course, thoroughly follow all high-quality prerogatives needed by our range of professional speakers,” states Flavio Naggi, manager, FaitalPRO Pro Audio Division.
