EM Acoustics Unveils New Coaxial Stage Monitors At InfoComm 2016

Both models (12- and 15-inch) also include pole-mount sockets and threaded rigging points for deployment as loudspeakers

At the recent InfoComm 2016 in Las Vegas, EM Acoustics introduced the new M-C12 and M-C15 coaxial stage monitors.

Consisting of 1.3-inch HF/12-inch LF and 1.3-inch HF/15-inch LF coaxial drive units, respectively, the two monitors incorporate EM Acoustics passive crossovers for superior frequency and phase response, and and are designed to deliver very high gain before feedback. Each model requires only one amplifier channel and zero external processing.

The M-C12 and M-C15 both include recessed 35 mm pole-mount sockets and M8 threaded rigging points that allow them to also be deployed as loudspeakers for a range of applications. Units are shipping and are already finding acceptance among rental companies worldwide, including Masque Sound and Pyramid Audio Productions, which deployed several units during the recent New Orleans Jazzfest.

Also on display for the first time in the U.S. was the new DQ20, a lightweight, four-channel Class D switch mode power amplifier that’s the largest of three models in the DQ Series. Rated as being able to provide up to 20,000 watts of total output power, the DQ20 is equipped with analog, AES3 and Dante digital network audio inputs, and it also comes with a complete software suite that provides comprehensive remote control and monitoring of loudspeaker systems.
