Electro-Voice has introduced the RE20-BLACK that offers the company’s RE20 broadcast microphone with a low-reflection dark charcoal finish.
The RE20-BLACK offers an aesthetic alternative to the original finish while being acoustically, electrically and mechanically identical. A key to the mic’s enduring popularity is its proprietary Variable-D technology that’s designed to minimize proximity effect so that the tone of the source remains full and accurate at varying distances.
It also carries a mid-bass tone-shaping switch, an integrated pop filter, and a humbucking coil designed to guard against line hum.
The new RE20-BLACK is available at EV retailers now, and the classic RE20 finish will continue to be available under the current RE20 model name.
